In Sickness and in Health
Covering over 800 years of treating the sick, this city centre walking tour with local historian Naomi Parsons explores the locations of Lancaster’s earliest hospitals, dispensaries and chemists. Along the way you’ll hear stories of anaesthesia, amputations and grim discoveries in the name of medical science.
Outdoor tour, 1.5 hours, starting from outside Lancaster Royal Infirmary at 11am.
