Parent & Child Silver Clay Xmas Earring Workshop

This parent and child jewellery class is aimed at children aged 8+!

Come along to this three-hour silver clay workshop where you will be guided by our experienced tutor to help you make two pairs of Christmas Earrings. This seasonal workshop will give you the chance to try silver clay, an innovative material that’s fun to work with and perfect for beginners.

Silver clay consists of tiny particles of pure silver mixed with an organic binder and water. While it looks and feels like regular clay when you start, once your designs are shaped and dried, the pieces are fired in a kiln. During firing, the binder burns away, leaving behind solid 99.9% fine silver! This means you can easily create beautiful, professional-quality jewellery that’s as real as any silver you’d find in shop.

In the workshop, you’ll learn how to:

• Roll and shape the clay

• Use different tools to texture your pieces

• Add small details for a unique touch

• Fire and polish your jewellery to a beautiful, shiny finish
