Make a Bird Box at Heysham Nature Reserve

National Bird Box Week happens every year from the 14th February and to celebrate this, we hope to do our bit and add an extra place for a bird to nest. Make 2025 a special year and put up your first bird box or you could even donate it. This session will provide all the materials you need to put together your box. Our activities are suitable for families for children aged 5+.

We are running two one-hour sessions at 10 am and 11.30 am in the classroom at Heysham Nature Reserve. Please book early as places are limited. One family booking provides one bird box for you to make. If you wish to make two, please book a second family ticket. Each bird box constructions requires supervision by a parent/guardian.

Please note: This session takes place indoors. Supervision of children is required at all times. Toilet facilities are available.
