Lancashire in 50 Objects – BAE poster

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the modern county council and museum service, the Lancashire County Council conservation and collection team have curated a selection of 50 Lancashire objects. We will be exploring the history of Lancashire, its people, places and traditions through 50 objects in our collections.

This signed print of Alan Groves painting of the last Tornado delivery to the RAF in 1993. It was signed by over 40 dignitaries including the pilot of flight ZH559, the pilot of the first Tornado in 1979, and the serving Preston Guild Mayor.

The poster is available to view without charge at Mellor Library, during normal opening hours until Friday 30^th May 2025.
