NEW WORKSHOP!
Come and join us for an afternoon of pottery making in the woods with Rick Graves. Rick is a very experienced ceramicist who has taught in schools and evening classes throughout his life. He specialises in wheel thrown stoneware but loves all kinds of clay working.
This session is aimed at beginners but if you have some experience Richard can facilitate you making a more advanced project. You could make a piggy bank, pot, fairy house or other item of your choosing.
In the first session Rick will help you to form your item out of clay. On Saturday the 26th April we will return for a shorter 30 minute session (3:30 – 4pm) to glaze and decorate our pieces so please only book if you are available for both sessions. The price is for both sessions and includes the cost of 2 firings.
Spaces are limited so early booking is essential. Adults and older children only. £35 per person. This includes all materials, equipment, firing and glaze and also refreshments – hot drinks and a slice of homemade cake.
Please come appropriately dressed for the outdoors, although we do have a shelter to retreat to in case of wet weather 🙂
Older children are welcome if accompanied by a parent. We’d recommend 12 and up but this isn’t a hard & fast rule so please get in touch if you have a younger child who’d like to come with you.
