This is our regular live literature open mic, with 5-minute slots available for your poetry, stories or monologues. You are welcome to read your own work. April’s host is Julie McKiernan with special guest, Jan Porteous.
Jan Porteous is a local writer of poems and short stories whose linguistic skills and love of language bring words to life. She specialises in guided readings and workshops which encourage the reader or listener to explore and enjoy the nuances of the English language. “Educational, engaging, and enigmatic.” Join Jan as she reads from her anthology of poems in which she celebrates the joy of words. Take the opportunity to share in the rich delights of language and the alchemy of the alphabet.
