Walking Tour of St George’s Church Graveyard, Tyldesley

Welcome to the Walking Tour of St George’s Church, Tyldesley.
Come join us on this tour for a unique experience exploring the history and stories of the site of Tyldesley Parish Church. This tour will take you through the graveyard which dates back to the early-19th century, and we will learn about the notable individuals buried here and the significance of this historical site.
The construction of St George’s Church began in 1821, the foundation stone was laid in 1822 and the church was offically conscreated in 1825.
Note: We will meet at the School Street entrance to the church yard. There aresome parking spaces on School Street and Elliott Street, both adjacent to the church.
